Bright, sunny and loaded with personality, the orange California Poppy is an annual in colder climates and a perennial in warmer regions. As with all varieties of California Poppy, the Orange makes an appearance early in April, and graces your garden well into August. The blooms resemble delicate paper flowers, with bright, citrus orange petals and bright yellow stamen. If planted in well drained soil, the orange California Poppies will thrive with very little water; they are very drought tolerant. This plant grows to 1′ to 1.5′ and are perfect for backdrops, unstructured English style gardens and meadow patches.
The orange California Poppy is bright and vivacious, making them an exceptional addition to your garden as a border plant or clustered floral point. Plant them in massive groupings and the visual display will leave you breathless. These versatile flower are also great as border plants around a group of larger flowering plants. Seeds are packaged and germination tested for current year.
